We have implemented and maintain commercially reasonable security measures designed to protect the personal data we collect and store from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, and modification. Please be aware that, although AMC strives to keep your personal data secure, no security measures are absolute. Use caution when transmitting personal data over the Internet.

5. How Long Does AMC Retain My Personal Data?

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collect it, to comply with our legal obligations (for example, if we are required to retain your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce our legal agreements and policies. We will also retain certain personal data for internal analysis purposes. This information is generally retained for a shorter period, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of our Services, or we are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods. Our determination of precise retention periods will be based on (i) the length of time we have an ongoing relationship with you; (ii) whether there is a legal obligation to which we are subject; and (iii) whether retention is advisable given our legal position, including regard to applicable statutes of limitations, litigation, or regulatory investigations.

7. Does AMC Use Cookies or Similar Technologies?

Like many other companies, we use Cookies. Cookies are small files of information that are stored by your web browser software on your computer hard drive, mobile or other devices (e.g., smartphones or tablets).

A. How We Use Cookies

We generally use Cookies to:

  • Estimate audience size and usage patterns;
  • Understand and save your preferences for future visits, allowing us to customize the Site and Services to your individual needs;
  • Advertise new content and services that relate to your interests;
  • Keep track of advertisements and search engine results;
  • Compile aggregate data about site traffic and site interactions to resolve issues and offer better site experiences and tools in the future; and
  • Recognize when you return to the Site.

When these Cookies collect personal information, our collection and use of that information is governed by this Privacy Policy.

B. Types of Cookies We Use

Cookies on our Site generally fall into the following categories:

  • Essential. We may use Cookies that we consider are strictly necessary to allow you to use and access our Site, including cookies required to prevent fraudulent activity, and improve security.
  • Analytics/Personal. We may use Cookies that are useful to assess the performance of our Site, including as part of our analytics practices or otherwise to improve our Site.
  • Personalization/Functional. We may use Cookies that are required to offer you enhanced functionality when accessing our Site, including identifying you when you sign in to our website or keeping track of your specified preferences, including in terms of the presentation of content on our Site.
  • Targeted Advertising. We may use Cookies to deliver content, including advertisements, relevant to your interests on our Site based on how you interact with advertisements or content. We do not use your information for targeted advertising on third-party platforms.

C. How You Can Opt Out of Cookies

Browser Tools

You can instruct your browser to refuse all non-essential Cookies. You can also modify the use of cookies through Your Privacy Choices. However, opting out of certain Cookies may limit your use of certain portions of our Site. You can find out more about Cookies and how to manage them by visiting www.AboutCookies.org or www.allaboutcookies.org.

The Site recognizes the Global Privacy Control (“GPC”) signal. If you are using a browser setting or plug-in that sends an opt-out preference signal to each website you visit, we will treat that as a valid request to opt out of sales and targeted advertising and honor that request when required by law. If you choose to use the GPC signal, you will need to turn it on for each supported browser or browser extension you use.

Some internet browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Given that there is not a uniform way that browsers communicate the “Do Not Track” signal, the Site does not currently interpret, respond to, or alter its practices when it receives “Do Not Track” signals. However, as noted above, the Site does respond to GPC signals and you can otherwise opt out of our us of non-essential Cookies through Your Privacy Choices.

Platform Controls

You can opt out of Cookies set by specific entities by following the instructions found at these links:

Advertising Industry Resources

You can understand which entities have currently enabled Cookies for your browser or mobile device and how to opt out of some of those Cookies by accessing the Network Advertising Initiative’s website or the Digital Advertising Alliance’s website. For more information on mobile specific opt-out choices, visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s Mobile Choices website.

Please note these opt-out mechanisms are specific to the device or browser on which they are exercised. Therefore, you will need to opt out on every browser and device that you use.

D. How We Use Google Tools and Human Verification Systems

We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. that uses Cookies or other tracking technologies to help us analyze how users interact with the Site and Services, compile reports on their activity, and provide other services related to their activity and usage. The technologies used by Google may collect information such as your IP address, time of visit, whether you are a returning visitor, and any referring website. The information generated by Google Analytics will be transmitted to and stored by Google and will be subject to Google’s privacy policies. To learn more about Google’s partner services and to learn how to opt out of tracking of analytics by Google, click here.

We use Google reCAPTCHA, a free service provided by Google, Inc., to protect our Site from spam and abuse. Google reCAPTCHA uses advanced risk analysis techniques to decipher humans and bots. Google reCAPTCHA works differently depending on what version is deployed. For example, you may be asked to check a box indicating that you are not a robot or Google reCAPTCHA may detect abusive traffic without user interaction. Google reCAPTCHA works by transmitting certain types of information to Google, such as the referrer URL, IP address, visitor behavior, operating system information, browser and length of the visit, cookies, and mouse movements. Your use of Google reCAPTCHA is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. More information as to Google reCAPTCHA and how it works is available here.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile, a CAPTCHA tool designed to distinguish between human users and bots. Turnstile helps protect our website from fraudulent or abusive activity, such as spam and automated attacks. Cloudflare Turnstile does not collect or use personal information to identify users, and it does not rely on cookies or user tracking. It performs passive, privacy-respecting challenges in the background to verify that a real person is interacting with the site. For more information about Cloudflare Turnstile and its privacy practices, please visit Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
