On March 8, 2017, the Company reached an agreement to settle litigation that was pending as of December 31, 2016, giving rise to a recognized subsequent event resulting in an increase of $7,000,000 in other general and administrative expenses for the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2016. As a result, net earnings were reduced by $4,270,000 and diluted earnings per share were reduced by $0.04 for both the fourth quarter and full year ended December 31, 2016.
Previously reported results for the first three quarters of 2016 were not affected by the settlement. The Companys Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2016 will reflect the foregoing information.
